OMG I take real offence to that smant! I can assure you my knuckles do not drag on the ground and i am extremely well groomed, not hairy at all!! TYVM!

Yeah, but that's what everyone says. I mean, monkies are "well groomed" - they eath the bugs off each other and get their heads licked. That's a better standard of grooming than many other mammals (and certainly non-mammals). And monkies don't drag their hands on the ground, apes do, and "affen" can be translated both ways
Then again... I'm wondering about your "not hairy at all" remark. Personally, I prefer some eyelashes and eyebrows and don't considerably attract to people who show no signs of hair on their head..

Wow, trying to justify what was said insultingly is just not right. Still has that taste is racism.

Ummm I believe smantie was translating what Snoobrik, aka LD said

Not only that this thread was dug up out of the throw away pile from 6 months ago.

Maybe so...But smantie in his own words said (Affen means "apes" or "monkies." Hence why I call people from Great Britain "Insel Affen" meaning "island apes" because let's face it. They're ape-like and they live on an island. Ha, an island. Isn't that funny?)
Sorry but not funny!

How can I not be offended by that remark?

Smantie says a lot of things.
So deal with it? If you go to Germany, you will find people calling the British "insel Affen." Germans I spoke to say it's "monkies" but I say it's "apes" because that's what I learned first. I mean, we've got to give the Germans credit here, they started two world wars but they can still find really creative ways to make fun of people.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be offended if someone were to call Americans "fat, poorly groomed apes", but maybe that's because we are.

Don't tell me to deal with it!!! I don't have to!

I hardly think calling the British 'insel Affen' is creative?

Just in time for UT 2007.

I'm pretty sure the fatality rate is higher in the Geo Metro.

Yes, and 2k4 maps tend to be big in size.
Hey phat, are you living in a urban area? Because if so, you might be able to stick a wireless card in your PC and feed off of other people's broadband.
